President's Message

Welcome to Na'amat Canada Toronto's webpage! Na'amat Toronto is a vibrant women's organization with a lot to offer. Our clubs, with members in ages ranging from 25 to 95+, can be found throughout the Greater Toronto Area. While organizing fundraising events, educational and social programs, our members continue to form a very special sisterhood. Volunteering has lead these vibrant women to form lifetime friendships, while at the same time helping Israeli women, children and families in need. We too, are receiving back in multi-fold, not to mention the "nachas" we get from giving of ourselves.

Na'amat in Toronto has a rich foundation steeped in the tradition of working women and volunteers. Through the generations the daughters and granddaughters of the women of clubs Avodah, Borochov Women, Chadera, Club One, Eilat, Galila, Golda Meir, Hanita, Havah, Independent Women, Rachel and Shalom have followed in their footsteps – transferring their passion for the women and children of Israel.

Club Masada's 65th Anniversary In April 2010, we marked Club Masada's 65th Anniversary with a joyful and nostalgic soirée. Twenty-First Century for the Under 21s
New Computers for Hadera!
In 1989, Na'amat Canada Toronto built a technological high school in Hadera, Israel, whose purpose is to give troubled teens a second chance at acquiring an education. Over the years the school has succeeded in producing hundreds of self-confident and skilled youth. These students need to learn by using modern equipment in order to survive in the job market and in turn help to better Israeli society. The Hadera high school now needs at least 10 new computers with updated software and Na'amat Israel has asked for our help to bring the computer lab up to date. We're half way there - to date we have raised enough funds to purchase 5 computers. Na'amat Toronto—it is up to us to give these students the tools they need to succeed!
