Na'amat operates 30 Legal Aid Bureaus and 5 Women's Rights Centers that service 10,000 Israeli women per year. The Centres, located in Haifa, Jerusalem, Be'er Sheva, Petach Tikvah and Tel Aviv, assist with different legal matters and provide counselling on the various topics of:

  • Work-related issues
  • Domestic violence
  • Family relations
  • Single parenthood
  • Special needs families
  • Pre-marital and parental agreements
  • Wills and bequests
  • Mediation
  • Financial Counselling

Approximately 80% of the inquiries to these facilities revolve around women's personal status, including victims of domestic violence. The other 20% turns to Na'amat for legal counselling on work related problems, such as discrimination, dismissal due to pregnancy, sexual harassment in the work place, retirement rights, and insurance rights.

In the public eye, Na'amat is one of the major organizations leading the charge for women's rights in Israel. Each year Na'amat attorneys file 7 to 8 petitions to the Supreme Court (of Israel) in regard to the status of women and they propose legislative initiatives to the Knesset (The Israeli Parliament) on matters concerning women's rights.

At these centres, women are helped by lawyers, social workers and counsellors to address the major issues affecting their lives. The centres' professional staffs are also prepared to do couples' mediation as a way to solve marital disputes before turning to the courts. Workshops and support groups are also offered as alternatives to one-on-one counselling sessions. Entrepreneurship, vocational and leadership training courses are offered as well, for women with goals of advancing their careers and starting new businesses.

It is Na'amat's goal to not only expand the variety of services offered at these legal aid and women's rights bureau but to open more centres in the coming years.
